FOUR programs from the Denver Grizzlies of now defunct International Hockey League (IHL). The Denver Grizzlies were an IHL franchise in 1994-1995 that played in McNichols Arena. Their sole purpose was to determine if an NHL team could survive in Denver. In order to do that, the Grizzlies needed to average 10,000 or more fans per game. The Grizzlies averaged over 11,000, and the stage was set for Denver to pursue an NHL team. That team was the Quebec Nordiques - which became the Colorado Avalanche.
The year that the Grizzlies spent in Denver was a successful one. They won the Calder Cup - which is the IHL championship. After they won, the team was relocated to Salt Lake City, where the continued their winning ways.
For trade are the FOUR differnet programs that were issued that year. Program #1 is from opening night, October 1, 1994. Each of the four programs comes with all original insert material (product catalog and scoresheet for the evening). There are no marks in any of the programs or score sheets. The programs look like they just came from the box.
